Succeeding With Your Personal Computer

by Troy Segler, VP of Programs

For our November Program, we will be hearing from three of our more formidable volunteers. J. P. Williams and John Brewer have collaborated on evaluating the use of external memory to enhance
our computer experience. They will discuss various types of external products. Some of the items they will tell us about will surely whet our appetites to acquire some form of external memory. J. P. and John are both dependent upon the use of computers in the satisfactory management of their hobbies and businesses. Both of these individuals are long term volunteers of our club and each have held offices in the organization over many years.
In addition, David Robbins, our president for the past year, will give us his take on downloading and installing add-ins to our computer programs. David has rather strong convictions about what types of updates should be obtained and the methods for getting them from vendors. David has also been a volunteer and board member for many years and is one of the most knowledgeable individuals you will encounter when it comes to computer security, safety and functioning. I have found him to be a no-nonsense type of guy when it comes to caring for
the club’s equipment. Illegal programs are not tolerated.
This meeting will begin on November 17th at 7:00PM in suite 201 of the Centre 3000 building. If you are unfamiliar with our location, please check out the map on our Web site. Coffee and refreshments will be provided. Members and guests are invited. If you know someone who is just now learning to work their way around a computer, please invite them to attend. Perhaps they will hear something that will cause them to become a member of our organization.

Coffee and refreshments will be available for the taking and soft drinks are

available at a cost of $.50.  Invite a friend to join you for this meeting.  I wish to thank all those who have regularly attended these meetings.
