Any Potential Mac Users Out there?

by Troy Segler, VP of Programs  Setptember 2005

The Computer Club of Oklahoma City has enjoyed some great programs and this one is expected to be informative and educational. Our speakers have been very enthusiastic in presenting their programs and in responding to questions from members.
At our meeting on Thursday, September 15 we will be privileged to have Mark Pennington, the manager of PRO-Mac on Northwest Expressway visit with us. He will update us on the current hardware and software available from Apple Corporation. A show of hands at one of our recent meetings indicated there are members of our organization who already own a Macintosh Computer. I suspect many members out there are owners of the I-Pod. A number of people have shown an interest in moving from a Microsoft-based product to something that hackers aren’t interested in. The Mac has an excellent reputation for its graphical abilities.
Mark said he would bring both a desktop and a laptop machine to our meeting and put them through their paces for us. Microsoft continues to rewrite their operating system and cause us to be updating our computers on a regular basis. The list of current fixes for WINXP, Internet Explorer and Office 2003 is rather lengthy.
Please join us on September 15, at 7:00 PM for this program. You will find us in Suite 201 of the Center 3000 Building, located at 3000 United Founders Boulevard. Enter at the east end of the building. If you end up at the United Founders Tower, you are approximately 3 blocks too far west. For a map to our location, look in the left pane on our Web site.
Thank you for your support these past several years and continue to learn and socialize with us in the future. Bring a friend!

Coffee and refreshments will be available for the taking and soft drinks are

available at a cost of $.50.  Invite a friend to join you for this meeting.  I wish to thank all those who have regularly attended these meetings.
