A
New Year has Dawned – What Are Your Plans???
by Troy Segler, President
I want to enlist your assistance in making this a great year for
members of the Computer Club. All are invited to participate.
David has suggested the club participate in helping
organizations needing computer support this year. The board
authorized him to take on up to four projects. Some ideas have
been submitted. This is another way for us to justify our
existence in the community. You may be asked to participate in
these projects as they materialize.
Charlene Francis, along with several volunteer instructors, has
planned some frequently requested classes for the SeniorNet
group. A number of these appear on the SeniorNet schedule
included in this month’s list of activities. She indicated
Quicken will be offered if sufficient people will attend. If you
are interested in any of these courses, submit your application
soon.
The Thursday mornings SeniorNet (SNUG) and WINDOWS TIPS AND
TRICKS meetings are going well. These are great support groups
for your knowledge base, ego and social needs. Join these groups
on Thursdays.
Isaac is interested in working with any group to establish
additional study groups. He cannot do this by himself. Talk to
your friends, and if there is a topic, common interest or need
for getting together, contact Isaac about starting a group.
Perhaps you would like to host a study group. It does take time
and preparation for the group to be successful.
